About

Welcome!

As the Director of Instructional Technology at the College of Wooster in Ohio I am responsible for coordinating instructional technology support college-wide and researching developments in the uses of technology in education.  I monitor changes in technology and their effect on society in order to lead timely discussions about the impact of such changes on pedagogy, curricula and the mission of the College, and propose strategies in response.

A native of the beautiful Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts, I came to Wooster from Washington & Jefferson College where I managed the Academic Technology group within Information Technology Services.  From 2004-2006 I worked as an Academic Technology Consultant in the Center for Instructional Technology at Duke University where I helped implement the Duke iPod project (Duke Digital Initiative). Before joining Duke, I was a faculty member at Cary Academy where I taught history, coached the cross country and track and field teams; I also helped establish a technology program for Wake County high school students.

In my free time I enjoy traveling (especially trips to Europe), photography and fixing up my house – a 1936 colonial/farmhouse.
