Technology Experience:

Director of Instructional Technology (2008-Present) Interim Co-CIO for Information Technology (2009-2010) The College of Wooster, Wooster, OH

  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership and vision for instructional technology initiatives at the College
  • Monitor changes in technology and their effect on society in order to lead timely discussions about the impact of such changes on pedagogy, curricula and the mission of the College, and propose strategies in response
  • Collaborate with the other Co-CIOs to provide strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation and coordination of information technology resources and staff for the College community
  • Serve as the institutional liaison to the National Institute for Technology in Liberal Education  (NITLE)

Senior Instructional Technologist, Information & Technology Services, Washington & Jefferson College, Washington, PA 2006 – 2008

  • Managed the Academic Technology division of Information Technology Services which included User Services (Help Desk and Media Services) and Academic and Instructional Technology

  • Taught a forty-hour web design course on Saturdays to local high school students who had limited computer resources in order to help them flourish in a technology driven environment
  • Trained students in HTML coding, web page editing software, digital cameras, image editing, scanners and other appropriate skills to help students learn and master basic web-design concepts
  • Designed and maintained program Web site

  • Taught local public and independent school teachers Web site construction skills
